BRADFORD AND RHYL BNP ORGANISER IAN SI’REE FOUND GUILTY OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND INVOLVED IN MURDER CASE

In a disturbing case that has shocked communities across North Wales and West Yorkshire, Ian Si’Ree, a known BNP organiser and former political candidate, has been convicted of possessing and creating illegal images depicting child sexual abuse. The court proceedings revealed that Si’Ree, who resides on Vale Road in Rhyl, admitted to making and possessing a total of 138 illicit images involving minors. These images, which were found during a police search, included some that depicted children as young as eight years old being subjected to sexual acts.

During the trial at Mold Crown Court, Judge Niclas Parry emphasized the gravity of Si’Ree’s actions, stating that the defendant needed to understand that the images he viewed represented actual abuse happening to real children. The court was informed that police had uncovered additional images that, while not explicitly illegal, displayed a disturbing sexual interest in young girls, raising further concerns about Si’Ree’s intentions and mindset.

The investigation into Si’Ree’s activities was linked to a broader criminal case involving the murder of Gabor Sarkozi, a takeaway delivery driver. Police officers executing a search warrant at the home of James Si’Ree, Ian’s son, discovered the illicit images on computers used by Ian. This search was part of the ongoing investigation into the violent killing of Mr. Sarkozi in Meliden, a nearby area.

Following his conviction, Ian Si’Ree was sentenced to a three-year period of supervision, during which he is required to participate in a sex offender treatment programme administered by the probation service. Additionally, he has been placed on the sex offender register, marking a significant step in monitoring his activities moving forward. Si’Ree had previously admitted to ten charges related to the making and possession of child abuse images during an earlier hearing.

In a related development, James Si’Ree, aged 22, who is also affiliated with the BNP and was involved in the murder case, along with his uncle Gary Bland, aged 42, of Bryn Avenue in Rhyl, received life sentences in May for the murder of Mr. Sarkozi. The case has garnered widespread attention due to the multiple criminal activities linked to the Si’Ree family.

Historically, Ian Si’Ree’s criminal record includes a 2001 trial in West Yorkshire, where he was acquitted of charges involving the rape and indecent assault of a 14-year-old girl. He was also cleared of three sexual assault charges involving a 12-year-old girl. Following this trial, Si’Ree fled his Bradford home and relocated to Rhyl, where he became active in local political circles as a BNP organiser and candidate. He stood for election as a Welsh Assembly candidate in 2011, a parliamentary candidate in 2010, and a council candidate in 2008, reflecting his active involvement in political life despite his criminal history.
