IAN PURSALL, CONVICTED PAEDOPHILE FROM WORCESTER, RECONFESSED AND ARRESTED AGAIN
A convicted paedophile from Worcester has been caught again by online vigilante hunters just two months after he was sentenced. The group Innocent Voices confronted Ian Pursall in a video posted on Facebook that has now been viewed over 50,000 times.
Pursall previously pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child in February, after being caught by a different online group known as "Leave Our Kids Alone." In the latest video, released on April 24, Pursall is seen being restrained by two members of the group while a woman announces their purpose.
They accuse him of engaging in online communication with a child decoy—an adult pretending to be a child in a chatroom.
Initially, Pursall attempts to deny the allegations, but the hunters call the police, concluding the 40-minute video by stating that officers are en route to arrest him.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson confirmed their action, stating: "A 38-year-old man from Worcestershire was arrested on April 24 on suspicion of breach of a sexual harm prevention order." The statement added that Pursall was released on bail while investigations continue into the online incident.
Pursall is already a convicted paedophile, having been sentenced in February for similar charges.
In that case, he was confronted by LOKA (Leave Our Kids Alone).
He was convicted at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 25 and received a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years.
Additionally, he was issued a seven-year sexual harm prevention order that prohibits him from accessing the internet on devices capable of storing images unless certain conditions are met.
Under the order, Pursall must keep his internet history enabled and accessible, refrain from deleting any records, avoid changing passwords, and submit electronic devices to police inspection if requested.
In a statement on Innocent Voices' Facebook page, the group shared: “Ian from Worcester, stung by us on April 24, 2021, and arrested for breach of his sexual harm prevention order.
Ian was previously sentenced in February 2021 for sexual communication with a child.
We also provided new evidence of further sexual communication, as well as him sending sexual images and videos of himself and pressuring the girl for indecent images.
He even sought to meet the child for sex.
Kudos to LOKA for their previous work; hopefully, he will face a proper prison sentence now or at least be exposed.” During the confrontation, hunters questioned Pursall about why he used the false name "Michael Cade" when communicating online with children.
In his response, he claimed it was merely a nickname.
