2003: LIVERPOOL MAN JAILED FOR ATTACKING STEPDAD WITH BASEBALL BAT AND MAKING DEATH THREATS
In 2003, Ian Logan, aged 35 and from Little Hulton, has been sentenced to four years in prison following an attack and threats against his former stepfather, Robert Audley.
Logan traveled to Mr.
Audley's residence in Fairfield, Liverpool, carrying a baseball bat.
There, he assaulted him by striking him in the chest and subsequently punching and kicking him.
The police intervened as Logan continued to shout abuse, making statements that suggested Mr.
Audley would need a body bag.
Logan admitted guilt to charges of aggravated burglary and making threats to kill.
The court was informed that his behavior was influenced by alcohol, his desire to protect his mother, and a sense of betrayal due to Mr.
Audley's treatment of her.
Prior to the assault, Logan had asked Mr.
Audley if he could stay for a few days and had sent a threatening message on the previous day, indicating intentions to kill.
The attack took place on May 30 in Liverpool.
