IAN CROSS FROM DONCASTER SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

A 71-year-old man from Doncaster, Ian Cross, has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of child sex offences that took place between 2002 and 2009.

Cross pleaded guilty to nine charges, which included indecent assault and engaging in sexual acts with a minor.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that he used money and sweets to bribe one of his victims to prevent her from reporting the abuse.

Additionally, Cross will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
