Huseyin Berk

Hackney Sexual Abuser

June 2022 Paedophile lured school girls into garage with his dog to sexually abuse them A pervert from East London sexually abused two little girls after luring them into a disused garage by allowing them to pet his dog. Huseyin Berk, of Amhurst Park, Hackney, was found guilty on Wednesday (June 29) following a trial. A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court found the 45-year-old – who also goes by the name of Alex – guilty of two counts of sexual assault by penetration against a girl aged under 13 involving two separate victims. He will be sentenced at the same court at a later date to be confirmed in September. Police were contacted by one of the victim’s family members in November 2018 after they confided that Berk, who lived in the same area, had taken them into a disused garage and sexually assaulted them on a number of occasions between April and October. He had approached them as he walked his dog when the girls were playing outside. He told them ‘bad things would happen’ if they told anyone what was going on. Detectives specialising in sexual offences involving children led the complex investigation into Berk, who was arrested in November 2018 and charged in August 2021. Berk was known to the girls for a long time as they had often seen him walking his dog around the area while they played games. He encouraged them to pet his dog and built up somewhat of a position of a trust, which he then abused for his own sexual gratification.
