HOLLY WILSON BANNED FROM KIRRIEMUIR AFTER ABUSIVE MESSAGES TO EX-BOYFRIEND IN DUNDEE

Holly Wilson, a 19-year-old woman from Dundee, has been officially barred from entering the town of Kirriemuir following her involvement in a series of aggressive and offensive communications directed at her former partner. The incident came to light after Wilson pleaded guilty in Dundee Sheriff Court to charges related to the misuse of a public communications network to send repeated messages filled with profanity, insults, and threats of violence against her ex-boyfriend.

According to court records, Wilson’s misconduct took place over a span of a few days in February. On the 10th and 11th of that month, she sent a barrage of messages accusing her ex of liking another girl’s Instagram photo. These messages contained derogatory terms such as “slut” and “dirty man whore,” and included explicit threats of physical violence. Wilson even mentioned involving her family, stating she would have her “fam” speak to him, which heightened the severity of her threats.

The harassment did not cease there. On February 13, her messages grew more aggressive, with further insults and threats. She claimed that she might spit on him and suggested she could have slept with his friends, adding a layer of emotional distress and intimidation. The victim, overwhelmed by the ongoing abuse and fearing for his safety, contacted the police on February 15. He expressed concerns that Wilson might escalate her actions further, which prompted law enforcement intervention.

Wilson was subsequently charged and admitted to the allegations, which were considered aggravated due to the involvement of abuse towards an ex-partner under the provisions of the Abusive Behaviour and Sexual Harm Act. Her guilty plea was taken into account by the court, and her sentencing was deferred until April to allow for the preparation of reports. As part of her bail conditions, Wilson was explicitly prohibited from entering Kirriemuir, a measure aimed at preventing further contact or harassment.

The court’s decision reflected the seriousness of her emotional and verbal abuse, emphasizing the need to protect victims from ongoing harassment and intimidation. The case highlights the importance of legal measures in addressing domestic and relationship-related abuse, especially when it involves digital communication channels.
