HECTOR MACLENNAN FROM MUNLOCHY CONVICTED OF HORRIFIC SEX ATTACKS IN INVERNESS AND ABERDEEN

In a chilling series of events that spanned nearly a decade, Hector MacLennan, a 29-year-old man formerly residing on Brae Terrace in Munlochy, Ross-shire, has been found guilty of multiple heinous crimes involving sexual violence and assault. The conviction was handed down at the High Court in Aberdeen following a detailed trial that uncovered the extent of his disturbing criminal behavior.

MacLennan was convicted of two counts of rape, four separate assaults, and a sexual attack that left his victims traumatized. The court heard harrowing testimony from one of his victims, who recounted how MacLennan used scissors to slash her during the assault, explicitly stating that he wanted to “feel blood all over him.” This particular incident was part of a series of violent acts committed by MacLennan over a span of nine years, targeting three teenage girls in Inverness.

The timeline of MacLennan’s criminal activities reveals a pattern of escalating violence. His first known offense occurred in 2000 when he raped and physically assaulted a teenage girl. Five years later, in 2005, he committed another brutal attack, this time raping a pregnant woman and inflicting cuts with scissors. In addition to these violent assaults, authorities uncovered a disturbing collection of child pornography on MacLennan’s laptop.
