HAZEL KELBIE CAUSES CHAOS IN STIRLING NURSERY TRYING TO STEAL CHILD
In a disturbing incident at a nursery located in Stirling, staff members intervened to prevent a woman from unlawfully taking a young child. The woman, identified as Hazel Kelbie, aged 39, was found attempting to collect a three-year-old child whom she knew but was not authorized to pick up.
Kelbie’s attempt was made under the false name Dianne, as she tried to deceive the nursery staff into handing over the child.
According to reports, Kelbie arrived at the nursery visibly intoxicated.
When staff members questioned her about her identity and her intentions, they quickly became suspicious due to her heavily impaired state.
Recognizing the potential danger, the staff refused to release the child and instead called the police to report the incident.
During the confrontation, Kelbie fled the scene, but her escape was short-lived.
She was later discovered collapsed nearby, evidently due to her intoxicated condition.
The child's mother, who had visited the nursery that day, reviewed CCTV footage and was able to identify Kelbie.
She confirmed that she had no prior knowledge of Kelbie’s intentions or her attempt to take the child.
The police were promptly involved, and Kelbie’s whereabouts were tracked down.
She was found in a state of semi-consciousness, having been in and out of consciousness, and was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical assessment.
Following her hospitalization, Kelbie was arrested and taken into custody.
During questioning, she expressed surprise at her own behavior, stating, “I’m gobsmacked and taken aback,” and denied any malicious intent, claiming, “That’s not true.” Kelbie was remanded in custody at Polmont Young Offenders Institution.
It was also revealed that she had a history of disruptive behavior, including an incident in September last year where she attended the nursery while intoxicated and behaved in a threatening and abusive manner.
The court proceedings have been temporarily deferred as authorities await further reports and assessments.
Kelbie’s actions have been officially classified as threatening and abusive behavior related to the incident, raising concerns about her conduct and the safety of children in the community of Stirling.
