HARRISON HEALEY SENTENCED IN STOKE-ON-TRENT FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEENAGE GIRL

In February 2019, Harrison Healey, a 19-year-old from Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent, was involved in a sexual assault case involving a teenage girl.

The incident occurred when Healey, then 17, undid the girl's trousers, touched her despite her protests and tears, and coerced her into performing a sex act on him.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court was told that Healey asked the girl not to tell anyone before she left the scene.

The victim later reported the incident after confiding in a friend, leading to police involvement.

During his police interview, Healey denied the allegations but admitted guilt on the day of his trial last month, pleading guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child.

Prosecutor Richard McConaghy detailed the events, stating, “He knew his victim’s age when he kissed her on the neck.

He asked if he could touch her private area.

He undid her trousers.

She started crying but he carried on.

He asked her to perform a sex act on him.

He kept on.

In the end she did what he asked.

He said, ‘You won’t tell anyone, will you’ before she left.” The girl reported the assault to the authorities shortly after.

Barry White, representing the defendant, mentioned that Healey was 17 at the time and requested that he be given credit for his guilty pleas.

Healey was sentenced to a three-year community order.

As part of his sentence, he is required to complete a 60-day rehabilitation activity requirement, an accredited programme, and a 12-week electronically monitored curfew from 8 pm to 6 am.

Additionally, Healey will be on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
