GRZEGORZ KROSMAN AND SHOCKING SEXUAL ABUSE IN HULL
A man identified as Grzegorz Krosman has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of a series of heinous sexual offenses committed in Hull.The crimes involved repeated acts of sexual assault and rape against a young girl, with the severity and grotesque nature of the offenses shocking the local community and prompting a serious legal response.
The victim, a young girl, endured a traumatic ordeal that has left her suffering from persistent nightmares, insomnia, and significant emotional distress.
Her experience was detailed during a court hearing at Hull Crown Court, where the impact of Krosman's actions on her mental health and well-being was vividly described.
The girl expressed that her life has been profoundly altered by the abuse, stating, "I feel that my life has been turned upside down.
I am no longer the person I used to be." She described feeling drained and overwhelmed by the memories of what Krosman had done to her, with anxiety taking a dominant role in her daily life.
In her statement, she conveyed how the abuse had robbed her of her childhood and made the police investigation an extremely stressful process.
She found it difficult to discuss what had happened, which added to her emotional burden.
The girl also shared her feelings of insecurity and diminished body confidence, emphasizing her desire for closure and normality.
She expressed sadness over the ordeal inflicted upon her and her family, and she revealed ongoing struggles with sleep and nightmares caused by the trauma.

Grzegorz Krosman, a 41-year-old man of Polish nationality residing at 10th Avenue in north Hull, denied six charges of raping a child under 13 and two charges of sexually assaulting a child under 13.
However, after a trial, the jury found him guilty of all charges.
The prosecution, led by Charlotte Baines, highlighted that the gravity of Krosman's offenses had escalated over time.
Despite his conviction, Krosman maintained his innocence, with his legal representative, Paul Genney, asserting that the crimes did not occur and that Krosman still believed in his innocence.
Krosman had a criminal record prior to these offenses, with nine convictions between 2014 and 2021, though none involved sexual misconduct.
His legal team pointed out that he had lost his job as a factory worker and his reputation due to the convictions.
They also noted that because Krosman does not speak English fluently and has no friends or family to visit him in prison, his incarceration would be particularly difficult for him.
The court heard that he would be eligible for parole after serving at least two-thirds of his sentence.
Judge Mark Bury described the offenses as "grotesque" and sentenced Krosman to 22 years in prison.
Additionally, he will be subject to an extended license period of one year upon release and will be required to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
