GRAHAM JEWELL DISGRACED AND REMOVED FROM FIFE PUB AFTER VULGAR OUTBURST
Graham Jewell, 74, of Oakley, was ejected from the Carnock Inn in Fife following a disruptive and offensive tirade against pub staff, which included vulgar language and sexually explicit comments. The incident occurred on May 3, 2019, when Jewell, who appeared visibly intoxicated, began harassing the staff after being denied more alcohol. Witnesses told Dunfermline Sheriff Court that Jewell directed lewd remarks at Elaine Collin, the pub's manager, including a crude comment about wanting to "bend her over the bar," which left staff feeling shocked and uncomfortable.Despite multiple warnings, Jewell's behavior worsened until he was physically removed from the premises by former landlord Douglas Collin. During the ejection, both men reportedly fell over a bar stool. After being expelled, Jewell was later discovered at a nearby bus stop with facial injuries and urine-soaked trousers. He alleged that he had been assaulted by Mr. Collin, but a sheriff dismissed these claims, stating that there was not enough evidence to support Jewell’s assertion that his injuries were caused by a punch. Sheriff Charles Macnair noted that the injuries could have equally resulted from a drunken fall.
Mr. Collin was cleared of any wrongdoing after the court concluded there was insufficient evidence to convict him. Jewell's embarrassing conduct and forced removal underscore that such vile behavior towards pub staff will not be tolerated in Fife’s pubs.
