GRAHAM CROWTHER JAILED IN SALISBURY FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGE OFFENSES
In June 2014, a man from Salisbury was sentenced to prison for possessing child abuse images on his mobile device. Graham Anthony David Crowther, aged 27 and residing on Endless Street in Salisbury, pleaded guilty to charges of creating and possessing indecent images of children. He was sentenced to nine months in prison at Salisbury Crown Court on that Friday.During the sentencing, Judge William Ashworth stated that "the trade and exchange of indecent images perpetuated the continued abuse of these children."
The investigation into Crowther's actions was led by Detective Constable Cat Isaac from Salisbury CID. After the verdict, she commented: "I would like to reiterate the judge’s comment that possession and exchange of child abuse images continue the exploitation of vulnerable children."
She further emphasized the importance of community involvement by adding, "We encourage anyone who has information regarding child abuse to contact us. Together with our partners, we will take action to put offenders before the courts and help prevent further harm to children."
