GRAEME MULOCK FROM STROOD JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE IN ROCHESTER AND MEDWAY

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Graeme Mulock, a 65-year-old resident of Yantlet Drive in Strood, has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of sexually abusing a young child over a period exceeding two years. The abuse, which took place in the Rochester area, was carried out by Mulock from December 1, 2016, until Christmas Day in 2018, marking a prolonged and troubling campaign of exploitation against his victim.

Details of the case emerged after police investigations were initiated in December 2018, following reports and suspicions raised by concerned parties. Despite denying the allegations during police interviews, Mulock’s actions could not be dismissed. The court heard that he had engaged in sexual misconduct on three separate occasions within the Rochester vicinity, further compounding the severity of his offenses.

Mulock faced multiple charges, including four counts of sexual offences and two counts of sexual assault of a child. Throughout the trial at Maidstone Crown Court, he maintained his innocence, but the jury ultimately found him guilty of all charges. The verdict was delivered last Thursday, and the following day, the court sentenced him to three years and six months in prison.

In addition to his prison sentence, Mulock will be subject to lifelong registration on the sex offenders register, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities following his release.
