BROXBURN MAN JAILED FOR INDECENT COMMUNICATION WITH UNDERAGE GIRLS
A 54-year-old man named Graeme Barrie, residing on Mauldeth Road, Broxburn, has been convicted of indecently communicating with two underage teenage girls.
The court proceedings revealed that Barrie admitted to the offense, which took place at a house near Blyth Bridge in Peeblesshire between June 2011 and August 2013.
During this period, while the girls were aged between 13 and 16, Barrie repeatedly asked them about their sexual experiences and made comments about their appearance in written sexual communications.
Additionally, he asked one of the girls to hug him several times.
As a result of his actions, Barrie has been placed on the sex offenders register for two years, receives two years of supervision, and has been ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work as part of a community payback order.
