SWINDON RAPIST WHO ASSAULTED HIS PARTNER IS JAILED FOR OVER 11 YEARS
A cruel rapist who committed a heinous assault on his partner while their young child was present has been sentenced to over 11 years in prison.
The victim, who waived her right to anonymity, shared her ongoing fears, stating: "I still check the cars and alleyways when I approach my home in case Gowtham is hiding somewhere." Gowtham Anthonypillai, aged 22, was convicted by a jury after a series of violent and degrading acts, including punching, strangulation, and forcing the victim to perform sexual acts while their daughter slept nearby.
The court heard that on September 27th of last year, he forcibly restrained her, throttled her, and demanded she perform oral sex and intercourse, all while she was sobbing and watching television.
The judge described him as arrogant, cruel, and demeaning, and emphasized that he treated her as his chattel, demanding she do his bidding without reply.
His violent behaviour culminated in a sentencing of 11 years and five months' imprisonment, with his name now publicly associated with this assault.
