November 2017 Man sentenced for rape of a girl- Aylesbury Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police a man has been sentenced nine years and six months’ for the rape of a girl in the 1990s. Gordon Stabler, aged 43, of High Street, Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire, was found guilty by a majority verdict following a four day trial at Aylesbury Crown Court, which concluded on 5 October 2017. He was convicted of one count of rape of a girl under 16. Stabler was sentenced at the same court on Friday (10/11) to nine years’ and six months’ imprisonment, and he has been put on the sex offenders register. His conviction relates to an incident in the 1990’s in the Aylesbury, where Stabler plied a teenage girl with alcohol, and when she was intoxicated he then raped her. The victim reported the offence to Thames Valley Police in 2016.
