GORDON COLCLOUGH FROM KIDSGROVE ADMITS TO CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES

A 65-year-old man identified as Gordon Colclough from Kidsgrove has confessed to possessing and creating a total of six indecent images of children, which include both still photographs and videos, spanning the years from 2011 to 2014.

Colclough appeared before the court to face these serious allegations and was subsequently granted unconditional bail, allowing him to remain free while awaiting further legal proceedings. The charges against him involve the possession of images classified within the least serious category, indicating they were considered to be of a lower severity.

However, the case also revealed that Colclough possessed a more disturbing collection of images, including nine categorized as Category A, which are deemed to be the most serious and explicit, and twelve images classified as Category B, which are also considered highly concerning. These classifications suggest a disturbing pattern of behavior and a significant breach of legal and moral boundaries.

The court has scheduled further proceedings to determine the appropriate sentencing for Colclough, who faces serious criminal charges related to the exploitation and abuse of children through the creation and possession of these illicit images. The case highlights ongoing concerns about child exploitation and the importance of rigorous legal action to address such offenses.
