In a disturbing case that has shocked the Perth community, 18-year-old Ghazi Shah was found in possession of a significant collection of highly obscene child abuse photographs. The images, which included disturbing depictions of sadism and sexual exploitation, were discovered during a police raid on his residence.
Shah appeared before the sheriff court in Perth to face charges related to possessing indecent images.
He admitted to having these illicit photographs between November 26, 2021, and April 13, 2022.
The court was informed that the images were of a particularly disturbing nature, with 16 classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of obscenity.
These photographs depicted children as young as three years old, engaging in sexual acts with adults, as well as scenes involving sadistic behavior and sexual posing.
The police action was initiated after intelligence suggested Shah might have been downloading and storing illegal material.
During the raid, law enforcement officers recovered his mobile phone, which contained the incriminating images.
The case has raised serious concerns about child exploitation and the safety of minors in the Perth area.
Following the court hearing, Sheriff Jennifer Bain KC decided to defer sentencing to allow for the preparation of detailed background reports on Shah.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Shah is currently employed at the family-run establishment known as "Loaded Takeaway" in Perth, a detail that has added to the community's distress over the case.
