Gerard O'Kane, aged 52 and residing on Hollybrook Avenue in Newtownabbey, has been found guilty of the murder of his estranged wife.
The fatal incident took place on 23 May of the previous year when he inflicted multiple stab wounds on Ann Marie O'Kane, 50, at a residence in Northview, near the Antrim Road in north Belfast.
Authorities discovered Ann Marie’s body with numerous stab injuries.
During the court proceedings, O'Kane admitted to carrying out the killing.
