Tucciarone formerly St John’s Close, Mildenhall, admitted five counts of indecent assault at Ipswich Crown Court. He was already serving a 10-year sentence for preying on a boy and a girl more than 20 years ago. The court heard the latest offences took place in Mildenhall and Brandon between 1984 and 1992. They emerged when the victim went to police after Tucciarone was jailed for the first time, prosecutor David Wilson said. The abuse started Tucciarone took the boy, then aged 6, to the cinema and sexually assaulted him in a toilet. It continued at a house in Mildenhall and a caravan at Brandon. Judge David Goodin jailed Tucciarone for five years and five months, to run concurrently with his existing sentence. The judge said that Tucciarone’s victim had been so “emotionally drained and scarred” by what had happened to him as a child that he was only able to the police when Tucciarone was behind bars. Defending, Gregory Perrins told the court that the offences for which Tucciarone was being sentenced were less serious than those he was jailed for in 2012. If all the offences had come to light at the same time in 2012 it was unlikely that Tucciarone would have received a substantially longer sentence. Before Tucciarone pleaded guilty in October 2012 of sex offences against a boy and a girl in Suffolk and Leicestershire he had no convictions recorded against him. The court heard on that occasion that Tucciarone had raped and sexually abused both the boy and the girl who were aged 10 at the time. Geraldo Tucciarone showed a 14-year-old boy a porn video before having sex with him and also raped a nine or 10 year-old girl in a caravan in Mildenhall, Ipswich Crown Court heard. Tucciarone, of St John’s Close, Mildenhall admitted two offences of rape and two of indecent assault dating back to the 1990’s. He was jailed for a total of 10 years and made the subject of a sexual offences prevention order restricting his future contact with children under the age of 16. He was also ordered to sign on the sex offenders’ register. Riel Karmy-Jones, prosecuting, told the court that the girl had been raped by the defendant in a caravan in Mildenhall. She said Tucciarone had indecently assaulted the boy and six months later had raped him after showing him a porn video. Miss Karmy-Jones said that following the incident the boy had been deeply embarrassed and ashamed and had not told anyone what had happened at the time. Andrew Shaw for Tucciarone said the only mitigation was his client’s guilty pleas, which meant his victims did not have to come to court to give evidence. He said it had taken courage for Tucciarone to admit what he had done all those years ago.
