TRANENT MAN ADMITS THREATS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND PROPERTY DAMAGE
A man from Tranent appeared in court to admit to multiple offences, including making threats of sexual violence and damaging another person's property.George Watson, who resides on Muirpark Wynd, shouted, swore, and made offensive remarks to others when he began acting in a threatening or abusive manner towards a couple near his residence.
During this alarming verbal outburst on January 29, Watson issued threats of violence and sexual assault.
On the same day, he also struck a camera, causing damage to the device.
Further offences occurred on March 4 when Watson made an obscene gesture and issued threats of violence against a man at his home.
These incidents were reported to the police, leading to Watson's arrest and subsequent charging.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week and pleaded guilty.
Sheriff Wendy Sheehan announced that the sentencing would be postponed until next month to allow for a social work report to be prepared.
