WARRINGTON CANNABIS DEALER GEORGE FLAHERTY CAUGHT WITH BEASTILITY VIDEOS
A mum and son ran a ‘cottage industry’ named ‘Scrannabis’ – making cannabis edibles in their home and selling them all over the UK.
George Flaherty organised the operation, illicitly operating out of their Warrington home, with his mum Lisa Halford baking the goodies ready for dispatch.
Their enterprise was uncovered after Cheshire Police raided their house armed with a search warrant, finding cannabis, cannabis oil-laced brownies, and sweets.
Flaherty, now 23, personally delivered local orders and used courier services for nationwide delivery after his mum made the products.
Sentencing Flaherty and Halford, judge Charlotte Crangle said Flaherty had sold them over the internet.
Flaherty was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity days.
His mum received a six-month sentence, suspended for 12 months, with 100 hours of unpaid work and ten days of rehab.
Additionally, Flaherty pleaded guilty to producing cannabis between January 2021 and December 2022, supplying cannabis, and possessing criminal property—a sum of £7,500 in cash.
Police found 61 grams of THC-containing cannabis dust, liquid THC, and 71 grams of cannabis in various stages of extraction at Flaherty's residence.
Messages on his phone and laptop revealed involvement in baking edibles, and he admitted to making small quantities which started as a 'fun' project and extended into a business.
He also had five extreme porn videos involving bestiality and acts causing serious harm, and the bank account showed about £12,000 received in one month.
Flaherty claimed he intended to cease the activities after Christmas, but the court found his operations to be significant and marketed online and via social media.
