GEORGE CAIN FROM FOREST TOWN SENTENCED FOR DECADES-OLD ABUSE IN NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
In a case that spanned over two decades, a man from Forest Town has been brought to justice for a series of heinous crimes committed against a young girl.George Cain, now aged 56, was found guilty of repeatedly abusing the victim over a period of five years during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The disturbing allegations only came to light when the victim, demonstrating remarkable courage and resilience, decided to report the abuse to the police in 2018.
Following her disclosure, specialist detectives from Nottinghamshire Police launched a comprehensive investigation.
