Geoffrey Kehoe

Orford Sexual Abuser

September 2004 Man, 50, jailed for indecent assaults on teenage girls A CONVICTED paedophile from Warrington has been jailed for four years for indecently assaulting two teenage girls, shortly after he was released from prison for assaulting a 10-year-old girl. Geoffrey Kehoe, aged 50, of Grasmere Avenue, Orford, was sentenced at Warrington Crown Court on Monday. The court heard how Kehoe indecently assaulted two girls, aged 16 and under, just months after being released from a four-year prison term in 1988, and that he had pleaded guilty to the previous offence of indecent assault, in which he made a 10-year-old girl have oral sex with him. Matthew Dunford, prosecuting, said that the nine counts of indecent assault on the teenage girls, who cannot be named for legal reasons, happened over a two-year period. The court heard that Kehoe regularly touched the girls’ private parts but that no penetration occurred. Mr Dunford said: “The point is that these offences were committed very shortly after he was released from a sentence for a similar offence.” Mark Lebrocq, defending, said that Kehoe had not committed an offence since 1990 and that he had already suffered “quite considerably” as a result of these matters. He said that Kehoe had lost his job, his house and had been attacked. The defence also claimed that one of the girls had consented to the sexual contact. Judge David Hale told Kehoe: “In 1986 you pleaded guilty to indecency with a child. You were then sentenced to four years and were released in February 1988.” He then said that “within months” of his release, Kehoe began abusing two other children on a “very regular basis”. As well as being jailed, Kehoe – who denied the charges – will be on the Sex Offenders Register for the rest of his life. The judge said that Kehoe would never be allowed to work with children again.
