In a deeply troubling case that has shocked the community of Kincardine, Gary Rankine, an 18-year-old resident of Chapel Street, was convicted and sentenced for a series of violent and sexual offenses.
The incident involving the rape of a 14-year-old schoolgirl took place in October 2009, and the repercussions of his actions have led to a significant custodial sentence.
According to court records, Rankine was left alone with the young girl in Kincairne Court, Kincardine, where he proceeded to commit a sexual assault.
