EAST KILBRIDE PAEDOPHILE GARY QUEEN SENT PICTURES OF KIDS TO JAIL INMATE

In a disturbing series of events that have left the community of East Kilbride deeply unsettled, three local mothers have come forward with alarming revelations about a woman they know, who admitted to sending photographs of their children to Gary Queen, a convicted paedophile currently incarcerated.

Gary Queen, a man with a notorious criminal history, was sentenced to a decade behind bars in 2011 after being found guilty of heinous crimes including the rape and grooming of a minor. His conviction also encompassed charges of lewd and libidinous practices. Despite his sentence, Queen was released early from prison, only to rekindle a relationship with a woman whose identity we are choosing not to disclose. The two became so close that they eventually became engaged.

However, Queen’s early release was marred by a breach of his parole conditions in 2017, which resulted in his return to prison. Despite this setback, the woman remained committed to him and even began making plans for their wedding. She later revealed that Queen had persuaded her to send photographs of their families into the prison, claiming it was to demonstrate to the Social Care and Justice authorities that he had a support network waiting for him outside. The aim was to bolster his case for an early release, a plea that was ultimately unsuccessful.

It was only after she uncovered the full extent of Queen’s depravity that she distanced herself from him. She confessed to her friends that she had been complicit in sending images of children, including those of her own and others, to Queen in prison. This revelation has caused widespread outrage among the mothers involved, who are now demanding that she be barred from any contact with their children.

Mo Macmillan, Debbie Muir, and another unnamed mother have expressed their fury and distress upon learning of her actions. Mo Macmillan, in particular, shared her feelings of sickness and anxiety, stating, “It has made me so ill – I’m still struggling to eat and sleep. She’s affected my mental health so badly with this. My family and partner agree that it’s just sick what she’s done to us.”

Mo further explained her fears, saying, “He is a paedophile and has pictures of young mums and their kids sent to him. I’m worried sick that I’ll be targeted in the future. I don’t know who has the pictures, who has seen them, and—not to sound crude—what they’ve done with or to them. Ninety-nine percent of my posts on Facebook are of my son, so alarm bells are ringing. The whole situation is very concerning.”

In a recorded conversation obtained by The News, the woman admitted to sending the photographs to support Queen’s appeal for early release. She also revealed that she had discovered the full extent of Queen’s criminal history and claimed he had been lying to her from the beginning. She described Queen’s incarceration at Barlinnie prison as “totally f****d up,” and accused him of deception, saying, “He’s been lying to everyone from day one about the full thing. The age, the sentence, the lot – the lassie was 10. Who knows what he was doing between when she was 10 and 16.”

The woman admitted that she had sent the images without the permission of the three East Kilbride mothers, and that they were unaware of her actions or of Queen’s identity. Another mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, recounted how she discovered the betrayal after learning that the woman had sent a copy of the East Kilbride News to Queen while he was in jail. She explained, “I told her I didn’t agree with her sending the picture because my kids were in the photo and the nature of Gary’s offence. I then asked if she’d sent any other pictures, and she admitted to sending pictures of my sons—my youngest was just a few weeks old, and my eldest was seven. I told her, ‘Absolutely bloody not. You’re not sending pictures of my sons to a paedo,’ but she went behind my back and did it anyway.”

The third mother, Debbie, detailed how Police Scotland had been contacted about the matter, with statements taken from all three women. Despite this, she expressed frustration that no action had been taken against the woman. “Prison officers searched his cell, but said there were no photos,” Debbie said. “So we are left wondering where these pictures are, who has them, and who has seen them. It’s terrifying to think a paedophile could have pictures of our children. This woman has put us through hell, violated our kids’ privacy, and refuses to admit her wrongdoing.”

Police Scotland confirmed that the victim of Queen’s initial charges was a minor, and the Scottish Court Service verified that Queen was sentenced to ten years in prison in 2011. The News attempted to contact the woman for her comment but was unable to reach her. She has been deliberately unnamed to protect her privacy.

The community of East Kilbride continues to grapple with the disturbing implications of this case, as questions remain about the whereabouts of the photographs and the potential danger posed by their distribution. The incident has sparked widespread concern about the safety of children and the need for vigilance in protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation and abuse.
