According to court proceedings, Campbell’s actions included sending over 400 text messages to his ex-partner, despite her clear requests for him to cease contact.
The victim, overwhelmed by the barrage of messages, eventually resorted to blocking Campbell’s phone number in an effort to stop the harassment.
However, Campbell’s persistence did not wane; he continued to attempt to influence her family members, urging them to persuade her to rekindle their relationship.
This behavior was described by the prosecution as a clear case of harassment, with authorities tracing and arresting Campbell after the victim reported his conduct to the police.
During police interviews, Campbell admitted to his actions but claimed that he did not intend to cause any harm.
His acknowledgment of guilt was noted, along with his expression of remorse for his conduct.
