NORTHWICH MAN JAILED FOR HEADBUTTING GIRLFRIEND AFTER INCIDENT IN RUDHEATH
A man named Gareth Price was sentenced for assaulting his girlfriend after she spoke to her male neighbor.
The incident occurred in Rudheath on June 14, when Price's partner began talking to a man living nearby.
Price responded aggressively, causing bruising to her nose and around her eyes.
The victim fled to her home and did not hear from Price until June 16, when he appeared at her door asking for a SIM card.
She told him to leave, but he refused and became aggressive again, pinning her on the bed, digging his finger into her eye, and threatening her.
Price was arrested later that day in New Warrington Road.
He was charged with assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, both denied but later found guilty.
On October 21, at Chester Crown Court, Price was sentenced to three years in jail and an indefinite restraining order prohibiting contact with the victim and entry to a specific address in Northwich.
