GARETH BALL FROM ROTHERHAM SENTENCED FOR SEX OFFENCES AGAINST 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In a case that has shocked the community of Rotherham, Gareth Ball, a 35-year-old man residing on Rotherview Road, has been sentenced to a substantial prison term after admitting to serious sexual offences committed against a teenage girl.The incident, which involved a 15-year-old victim, took place in August of the previous year, and the court proceedings revealed disturbing details about the nature of the offences.
Ball pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16 during a hearing held prior to the sentencing.
The court, sitting at Sheffield Crown Court, handed down a sentence of seven years and eight months in prison.
Additionally, he has been ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, a measure that underscores the gravity of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
According to police reports, Ball had supplied alcohol to the underage girl before engaging in sexual activity with her.

I feel that the sentence he has received reflects the seriousness of the offence and I hope it will enable the girl and her family to try and move forward.” She also emphasized the support provided to the victim and her family, which included assistance from the Children’s Independent Sexual Violence Advocate, the Sexual Assault Referral Centre, and social care services.
