FREDERICK COOPER FROM WORCESTER CAUGHT WITH 1,468 CHILD SEX ABUSE CARTOON IMAGES
In May 2022, authorities uncovered a disturbing case involving Frederick Cooper, a 20-year-old resident of Hoskyns Avenue, Warndon Villages, Worcester. The police investigation revealed that Cooper possessed an alarming collection of 1,468 banned 'cartoon' images depicting children being sexually abused, a discovery that has shocked the local community and raised serious concerns about online safety and child exploitation.
The case came to light when West Mercia Police executed a search warrant at Cooper's home.
During the raid, officers found him present along with his parents, the defendant's father and mother.
The investigation uncovered multiple electronic devices, including two mobile phones, two USB sticks, a computer hard drive, and a computer tower.
These items were seized as part of the ongoing inquiry into the nature of the images stored on Cooper's devices.
Among the items recovered, a USB stick contained the illicit 'pseudo' images—realistic cartoon representations rather than actual photographs of children.
The images included disturbing depictions of children aged around six to eight years old, as well as an image of an eight-year-old child and a six to ten-month-old baby wearing a collar inscribed with 'daddy's princess.' Some images reportedly involved animals, adding to the graphic and disturbing nature of the material.
Due to the graphic content, further details could not be disclosed publicly.
During police interviews, Cooper voluntarily attended Worcester Police Station for questioning.
He admitted that his preferred images were the 'pseudo' cartoon images of children, and he actively sought out and downloaded such material.
He explained that he transferred the images from his computer to a password-protected USB stick to keep them hidden from family, friends, and his girlfriend.
This indicates a deliberate effort to conceal his activities and preferences.
At the court hearing held in Worcester, Cooper appeared with his father.
Prosecutor Shivali Patel outlined the case, emphasizing the severity of the possession of prohibited images.
The magistrates, however, declined jurisdiction to hear the case fully and scheduled the next hearing for Worcester Crown Court on June 17.
In the meantime, Cooper was granted unconditional bail, with a warning from the magistrates that failure to appear at the next hearing could result in arrest, fines, or imprisonment.
The case continues to unfold as authorities pursue justice in this disturbing case involving child exploitation imagery.
