NOTTINGHAM MAN CAUGHT WITH THOUSANDS OF CHILD ABUSE IMAGES GETS SUSPENDED SENTENCE
A Nottingham father was found to possess an extensive collection of child abuse images and videos, including extremely serious Category A content, with children as young as 0-3 months being abused and distressed.
Officers seized a Samsung phone containing over 5,000 indecent images and films, with more than 12 hours of Category A videos alone.
These images also showed children being sexually assaulted, beaten, restrained, and shown in distress, including babies crying and screaming.
The defendant, Fida Hussain, aged 55 and resident on Radford Road, pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children and extreme pornographic material.
During police interview with the help of a British Sign Language interpreter, Hussain answered 'no comment' to questions.
He was handed a 10-month jail sentence, suspended for 21 months, placed on the sex offender register for 10 years, and given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
The judge, James Sampson, acknowledged Hussain’s hearing difficulties but emphasized the seriousness of his offences and warned that any future offences or breaches of court orders would result in imprisonment.
