WEMBLEY RAPIST JAILED FOR LIFE FOR ASSAULT ON TEENAGER
A violent offender, Fatai Olaiya, was convicted of two counts of rape, false imprisonment, robbery, taking a vehicle without consent, dangerous driving, and possession of a class B drug at Harrow Crown Court on July 20.
His crime spree began when he grabbed a 15-year-old girl from behind as she got off a bus in Preston Hill, then wrestled her into a car, raping her twice, stealing her phone, and fleeing.
Later, he was spotted sitting on a bench by his second victim, a 27-year-old man, which led to a police chase.
Olaiya was eventually cornered at Vale Farm Sports Centre in Wembley and arrested.
Last Monday, he was ordered to serve at least five years before parole eligibility and was warned that he may never be released.
The judge emphasized that Olaiya posed a danger to the public and could spend the rest of his life in prison.
The victims’ courage was acknowledged, especially the 15-year-old girl who attended court to give evidence.
