EUAN MARTIN SHOCKS NEWCASTLE AND LONDON WITH SEX ACTS AT WHEEL AND IN RESIDENTIAL STREETS
In a disturbing series of incidents that have left the local community in Newcastle and the broader North East area shaken, Euan Martin, a man with ties to both London and Newcastle, was found guilty of engaging in highly inappropriate and criminal sexual behavior in public.The events unfolded on the morning of September 26 last year, when Martin, who is employed in the digital marketing sector and owns multiple properties in the North East, carried out a series of alarming acts that targeted innocent children and teenagers.
According to court reports, Martin was seen driving around the Heaton area of Newcastle, ostensibly looking for houses to purchase.
His first encounter involved an 18-year-old student who had recently moved to the North East to pursue her studies.
As she was walking along the street, Martin stopped his vehicle and asked her for directions to Heaton Park Road.
When she approached his car to assist him, she was horrified to discover that he was engaged in a sexual act at the wheel, with his penis exposed and masturbating.
The young woman, overwhelmed with disgust, gave a sigh of revulsion and quickly walked away, deeply upset by the incident.
In her victim impact statement, she expressed her emotional distress, stating, "It made me feel incredibly upset and regretful about moving away from family support." She also recounted how she immediately contacted her mother and was reduced to tears, describing the act as obscene and disgusting.
Approximately half an hour later, Martin was observed on CCTV in a residential back lane in Heaton.
The footage showed him driving slowly along the street, stopping, reversing a short distance, and then lowering his trousers.
As two young girls approached from the direction he had reversed from, Martin called out to them through the passenger window, asking for directions to Heaton Park Road.
It was at this moment that the girls saw him engaged in another sexual act, this time in a more explicit manner.
The older girl, fearing he might exit his vehicle and pursue them, was left terrified, worrying he might turn up at her school.
The younger girl, frightened and distressed, told authorities that Martin had said, “Can I have a moment with you,” as she passed by, which she refused.
She then ran home screaming, upset by what she had witnessed, describing it as “dirty business” she did not like.
Her mother, in a victim impact statement, detailed the profound effect these incidents had on her children.
She explained that both girls had never been exposed to nudity before and that this experience left them confused and scared.
The mother expressed her anger and concern, emphasizing that no child should ever be subjected to such a traumatic first encounter with male nudity or sexual behavior.
She recounted her fears that her children might have been targeted for abduction or worse, and described the sleepless nights and ongoing emotional distress caused by the incident.
Following these events, authorities traced Martin through his vehicle registration and arrested him.
During police interviews, he initially claimed that he was trying to “relieve himself” and appeared frantic when children approached his car.
However, he later admitted to the charges.
Martin, who is 32 years old and resides on Marville Road in Fulham, London, has a history of similar offenses, including a caution in 2015 for outraging public decency when he performed a sex act while standing at a window on a busy street.
He owns properties in Tyne and Wear and has family connections in Northumberland.
He pleaded guilty to charges of exposure and two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
The court sentenced him to 23 months in prison, suspended for two years.
Additionally, he was ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid community service, participate in a sex offenders treatment program, and pay fines and compensation.
Specifically, he was fined £500 and ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation to each of the two children and £300 to the teenager.
He will also be on the sex offenders register for ten years, reflecting the severity of his actions.
Judge Sarah Mallet addressed Martin directly, stating, “Both children were extremely upset.
They were terrified, confused, and scared.
You have brought shame on yourself and your family.” The case has left a lasting impact on the victims and their families, highlighting the importance of vigilance and community safety in the face of such disturbing behavior.
