ERICKSON PASQUAL AND SHOCKING CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LIVERPOOL
On Thursday, September 21, a man named Erickson Pascual was formally sentenced to serve more than four years behind bars for committing a series of child sexual offences in Liverpool.The 32-year-old, who resides in Fazakerley, received a prison term of four years and four months at Liverpool Crown Court after previously admitting guilt during a hearing in August.
In addition to his custodial sentence, Pascual was subjected to a 10-year restraining order and a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
He is also mandated to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, in accordance with legal requirements for individuals convicted of such offences.
The charges against Pascual stem from a disturbing case involving the grooming and exploitation of a 13-year-old girl he met in Liverpool city centre.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Pascual falsely claimed to be 21 years old when communicating with the young girl.
Following an exchange of messages, he arranged to meet her on multiple occasions.
During these meetings, Pascual purchased alcohol for the girl and encouraged her to engage in sexual activities, which is a serious criminal offence.
The court heard that Pascual had pleaded guilty to several child sexual offences, including meeting a girl under 16 after grooming her, possessing and creating indecent photographs of a child, and operating equipment beneath clothing of another person without consent.
These offences highlight a pattern of predatory behaviour that caused significant concern.
Detective Inspector Alan Nuttall commented on the case, describing Pascual’s actions as “very disturbing” and emphasizing that no sexual activity actually took place between Pascual and the young victim.
He praised the bravery of the girl and her family for coming forward and reporting the crime, despite the fact that Pascual had misrepresented his age.
Further investigations uncovered a troubling collection of videos on Pascual’s phone, which included indecent upskirt footage of schoolgirls and women.
These videos added to the severity of his crimes and underscored the need for his removal from the community.
DI Nuttall expressed hope that Pascual would use his time in prison to reflect on his unacceptable behaviour and accept responsibility for his actions.
The sentence aims to protect the public and prevent Pascual from causing further harm to others in the future.
