EDWARD METCALFE SENTENCED IN BIRMINGHAM FOR FATAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INCIDENT

Edward Metcalfe, a 36-year-old computer programmer and former employee of the National Grid, has been sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of manslaughter in connection with the death of his partner, Tracey Topliss. The tragic incident took place on November 15, 2013, within the confines of their shared residence located on Riverside Crescent in Hall Green, Birmingham.

Tracey Topliss, aged 47 at the time, lost her life following a violent altercation that occurred during a period of heavy drinking. The argument was reportedly triggered by distressing news that her mother had been diagnosed with cancer.
