DUNCAN STEWART TWICKENHAM PRIMARK SEX OFFENDER GUILTY OF CHILD INDECENCY IN KINGSTON

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community, Duncan Stewart, a man with a known history of sex offenses, has been found guilty of serious charges related to the exploitation of minors at a Primark store located in Kingston. Stewart, aged 38 and residing in Twickenham, appeared before Kingston Crown Court to face allegations that he engaged in disturbing acts of voyeurism and possession of indecent images involving young girls.

On June 2 and June 4, 2006, Stewart was caught on camera secretly filming underage girls' skirts within the clothing section of the Primark store situated on Eden Street. These acts of voyeurism involved the use of his mobile phone to capture images of girls who were all under the age of 16. The store's staff and customers raised concerns on June 4, leading to Stewart's immediate arrest by police officers who responded to the complaints.

Following his arrest, authorities conducted a search of Stewart's residence, which uncovered a troubling collection of 25 indecent photographs depicting children. These images further confirmed the allegations against him and contributed to the charges he faced in court.

During the proceedings, Stewart pleaded guilty to 10 counts of filming young girls under their skirts in the Primark store, as well as possessing a total of 25 indecent images of children. His defense attorney, Alexander Wright, argued that all the material found was classified as level one offenses, which typically involve images of children in erotic poses without any explicit sexual activity. Despite this, the court recognized the seriousness of the offenses and Stewart's prior criminal history.

It was revealed by a press officer from Twickenham Police that Stewart had a previous conviction in 2003 for similar offenses. At that time, he was convicted of four counts of a comparable nature and sentenced to three years in prison. This history underscores a pattern of predatory behavior that has persisted over the years, raising concerns about public safety and Stewart's potential risk to the community.

Stewart's case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable minors from predatory individuals.
