NOTTINGHAM MAN FOUND WITH INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN GETS COMMUNITY ORDER
Police found indecent images of children aged between eight and 12 years on a 49-year-old man's phone.
The device was seized when police went to the home of Duncan James, suspecting he had indecent images of children.
Eight Category B pictures were discovered (involving non-penetrative sexual activity) and 122 Category C images (usually depicting some sexually suggestive content, either indicatively or in a nudist environment).
An example of a Category B image showed a girl aged between six to eight years wearing a swim suit at an outdoor swimming pool with an indecent element involving a man.
In police interview, James said he found the images "sexually arousing".
Previously of good character, the court was told he had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to making indecent photographs of children.
James, of Whitehall Road, Retford, received an 18-month community order, 35 rehabilitation activity days and 120 hours of unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge, costs of £750, and will be on a sexual harm prevention order and sex offenders' register for five years.
