DEREK HAYTER OF WESTBURY SENTENCED AFTER PAEDOPHILE HUNTER STING IN SALISBURY

In March 2019, a man named Derek James Hayter from Westbury was convicted after a paedophile hunting team, 'Net Justice,' caught him attempting to groom a young girl online. The incident led to a court hearing held on February 15, 2019, at Salisbury Crown Court, where Hayter was sentenced. He received a three-year community order, which includes a requirement to participate in a sex offenders treatment program, along with twenty days of rehabilitation activities. Additionally, he was ordered to be on the sex offenders register for five years.
