DELFIM BUJUDO FROM NOTTINGHAM CAUGHT IN SHOCKING CHILD EXPLOITATION PLOT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the Nottingham community, Delfim Bujudo, a 31-year-old man residing on Forest Road West in Nottingham, was brought before Nottingham Crown Court in March 2018 to face serious allegations related to child exploitation.Bujudo pleaded guilty to attempting to incite a girl aged between 13 and 15 years to engage in sexual activity, a crime that highlights the ongoing issues of online grooming and child safety.
The court proceedings revealed that Bujudo was arrested in October 2017 after authorities acted on intelligence suggesting he had been communicating with a person he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
The individual he was communicating with was, in fact, an undercover officer from the paedophile hunting team known as 'Keeping Kids Safe,' who was operating a decoy to catch potential offenders.
During their online exchanges, Bujudo sent sexually explicit videos, photographs, and messages to the decoy, encouraging her to touch herself sexually.
The decoy explicitly stated her age as 13, making Bujudo's actions even more egregious.
The court heard that Bujudo's conduct was not only predatory but also deeply concerning, prompting a stern legal response.
On the day of sentencing, March 9, Bujudo was handed a six-month prison sentence, which was suspended for 18 months, meaning he would not serve time unless he committed another offence within that period.
In addition to his suspended sentence, Bujudo was subjected to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, which restricts his activities and contact to protect potential victims.
He is also required to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for a decade and must complete a 25-day rehabilitation activity program aimed at addressing his behavior and preventing future offending.
This case underscores the importance of vigilant law enforcement efforts to combat online child exploitation and the ongoing risks posed by individuals seeking to harm minors through digital platforms.
