DEAN RYAN'S VIOLENT RAMPAGE IN LEICESTER LEAVES FAMILY IN FEAR

Dean Ryan, a 32-year-old man from Leicester, was found guilty of a series of brutal and threatening acts directed at his partner and her children. The court proceedings revealed a disturbing sequence of events that unfolded during a night of chaos and violence.

According to court reports, Ryan was under the influence of a dangerous combination of substances, including cocaine, alcohol, and steroids, at the time of the assault. The violence erupted within the confines of a Leicester home, where five children were present, adding a layer of horror to the incident.

It was during this episode that Ryan attacked his partner with bolt croppers, a tool typically used for cutting metal, which he wielded with apparent rage. Witnesses described how he punched and kicked the victim repeatedly, causing her significant distress. In a desperate attempt to escape, she fled outside the house with her two-year-old child in her arms. Despite her distress and the presence of her children, a neighbor reportedly ignored her pleas for help, leaving her vulnerable.

Ryan’s violence did not cease outside the home. He later re-entered the residence wielding the bolt croppers, with handles pressed against his partner’s neck, squeezing and choking her in a clear attempt to threaten her life. During this assault, he also struck her knees and forearms with the tool. Adding to the disturbing nature of the attack, Ryan falsely claimed to have been at his sister’s house, where he allegedly doused her property in petrol with the intention of setting it on fire.

Children witnessed much of the violence, including Ryan punching his partner multiple times and attempting to choke her again. He also manhandled her 14-year-old daughter and issued threats, creating an environment of terror and chaos within the Leicester household.

Following the trial, Ryan was convicted of causing actual bodily harm to his partner and of a common assault on her teenage daughter. The court sentenced him to 16 months in prison. Additionally, a three-year restraining order was imposed, prohibiting him from making contact with the victims or approaching their residence.

The judge highlighted that Ryan was under the influence of steroids, cocaine, and alcohol during the assault, which likely contributed to his violent behavior. His legal counsel suggested that there might be underlying mental health issues that need to be addressed, given the severity of his actions.
