DAWN UNDERWOOD FROM KINGSTON UPON HULL SENTENCED FOR DOG NEGLECT IN EAST HULL
Dawn Underwood, a resident of St Johns Grove in the east Hull area, has been found guilty of neglecting her dog, a Staffordshire bull terrier named Coco. The incident, which took place in Kingston upon Hull, involved the suffering of Coco due to her owner’s failure to recognize and treat a persistent skin condition that caused her significant discomfort.According to court reports, Underwood’s neglect resulted in unnecessary pain and suffering for Coco, who was left untreated for her chronic skin issues. The neglect was deemed serious enough that the court ordered Coco to be rehomed, ensuring her safety and well-being moving forward.
In the sentencing, Underwood was instructed to complete 80 hours of unpaid community service. Additionally, she was required to pay a total of £385 in costs and charges related to the case. The court also imposed a ban on her from keeping dogs for a period of five years; however, this ban expired in December 2022.
