DAWID OSIŃSKI OF KINGSTON UPON HULL SENTENCED FOR RABBIT MURDER AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Dawid Osiński, a Polish national born around 1991 and residing at 288 Beverley Road in Kingston upon Hull, was involved in a disturbing incident that resulted in the death of a pet rabbit.The tragic event unfolded when Osiński threw the rabbit at a mirror, causing fatal injuries to the animal.
This act of cruelty not only led to the animal's death but also inflicted damage on the property of the rabbit's owner.
In addition to the animal cruelty, Osiński was charged with vandalism, specifically damaging a mirror and a window belonging to the female owner of the rabbit.
The incident took place in Kingston upon Hull, where the owner was reportedly present during the assault.
Initially, Osiński pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal damage and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal in December 2017.
However, as the case progressed, he changed his plea to guilty, acknowledging his actions.
Following the court proceedings, Osiński was sentenced to a total of 12 weeks in jail.
Furthermore, he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115 as part of his punishment.
