DAVE ROBINSON FROM CARLISLE SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND ONLINE PAEDOPHILIA
A member of the police force in Cumbria has been handed a community order after admitting to possessing and distributing nearly 2,000 indecent images of children. The individual, identified as Andrew Robinson, aged 46, was employed at HMP Strangeways, specifically working on the sex offenders' wing.
His arrest and subsequent investigation revealed a disturbing collection of illicit images, some depicting children under the age of five or in distressing situations.
Further probing uncovered that Robinson engaged in online conversations with known paedophiles.
During these exchanges, he discussed exploitative acts and expressed a desire to acquire children, highlighting a troubling pattern of online predatory behavior.
Despite his role within law enforcement, Robinson's activities online were deeply inappropriate and illegal.
Robinson confessed to the charges against him, acknowledging his involvement in the possession and distribution of the illicit images, as well as his online communications.
