DAVID POGMORE OF WARSOP SENTENCED FOR CRUELTY TO DOGS IN MANSFIELD
David James Pogmore, also known by the alias David Steemson, was born on December 21, 1991, and resides on Meden Street in Warsop, Mansfield NG20. His recent conviction stems from a brutal act of animal cruelty involving a springer spaniel named Ruby.According to court reports, Pogmore subjected Ruby to a series of violent and unnecessary attacks. Witnesses and magistrates detailed how Pogmore forcefully pushed an umbrella into the dog’s throat, causing distress and injury. He also stabbed the dog in the back of her head and subsequently pinned her to the ground using a walking stick. These actions resulted in Ruby suffering a swollen, bloodshot eye, bruising, a cut to her head, and bleeding at the back of her throat, indicating the severity of the abuse.
In addition to the physical injuries inflicted upon Ruby, Pogmore was sentenced to four months in prison. Furthermore, he received a ban from keeping any animals for a period of 15 years, a restriction that will remain in effect until 2027. The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of his actions and the need to prevent future cruelty.
During the proceedings, Pogmore’s legal representative acknowledged that her client struggled with anger management issues. She admitted that Pogmore had “gone way over the top” in his attack on the defenseless animal, though this concession did little to mitigate the gravity of his conduct.
Beyond the courtroom, Pogmore’s volatile temperament was publicly evident during his appearance on the Jeremy Kyle Show on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. The show was ostensibly to reveal the results of a paternity test following a complicated and embarrassing personal situation involving a sexually incontinent individual. However, Pogmore’s moment of notoriety came when host Jeremy Kyle announced his conviction for dog cruelty to millions of viewers.
His reaction was one of visible anger and frustration; he appeared ready to confront Kyle physically, flexing his small chest and displaying signs of aggression. When Kyle referred to him as “a horrible little man,” security personnel quickly intervened to prevent any physical altercation. Eventually, Pogmore stormed off the set, behaving like a temperamental toddler.
While the presenter Jeremy Kyle is often a controversial figure, his handling of the situation—exposing Pogmore’s cruelty and ensuring the public was aware—was widely regarded as effective. The fact that Pogmore’s photograph did not appear in newspapers at the time of the incident did not diminish the importance of his exposure.
In summary, David Pogmore of Warsop has been officially recognized as a perpetrator of animal cruelty, earning him a place on the #WallofShame. His case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of animal welfare and the consequences faced by those who abuse defenseless creatures.
