DAVID MORSE FROM RHOOSE SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING TEENAGE GIRL AT SWANSEA CROWN COURT

In August 2015, a man named David Morse, aged 68, from Lon Cefn Mably in Rhoose, Vale of Glamorgan, was sentenced to five years in prison following a conviction for serious sexual offenses involving a teenage girl. The sentencing took place at Swansea Crown Court, where Morse's behavior during the proceedings drew attention. As the judge, Christopher Vosper QC, was delivering the sentence, Morse repeatedly interrupted, insisting on his innocence. Just before being led away to serve his sentence by court officers, Morse loudly declared, "Can I just say I am guilty of no offences," despite the jury's earlier verdict.

Now there is so much going on. I have nightmares and flashbacks." Her words underscored the trauma inflicted by Morse's actions.

As part of his sentence, Morse was placed on the sexual offenders' register for life, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities to protect the public. Additionally, he was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order, further restricting his behavior and contact with minors. The case highlights the serious consequences of grooming and sexual misconduct involving minors, and the court's decision reflects the gravity of Morse's offenses.
