August 2022 Exeter paedophile had dolls, clothes and thousands of indecent images on computers A paedophile from Exeter was arrested after police searched his computers and found hundreds of images and movies of horrific child sexual abuse. Police went to the home in Exeter of David Kittlety after seizing a doll he had ordered. Officers analysed five computer devices and found he had been searching the internet for child abuse images and collecting them in folders with titles like ‘Cute’. He also had a collection of children’s clothes and a number of dolls. The defendant, of Galahad Close, admitted three offences of making indecent images of children; one of possessing extreme pornographic images and possessing prohibited cartoon-style images of children. Exeter Crown Court was told it was clear he had a sexual interest in children. He was given a community order and restrictions on his use of the internet. The judge said children would be better protected if he worked with probation. Kittlety was arrested in February last year after police intercepted and seized a doll he had ordered. On his computers, they found 1,282 images and movies of children being sexually abused. Of those, 242 were categorised as showing the most extreme types of abuse. There were also 2,000 prohibited images and dozens depicted the abuse of animals. He also had an interest sex abuse stories and had searched the dark web for images. The videos showed children as young as two being abused. He was given a community order lasting 18 months with 20 rehabilitation days and unpaid work of 80 hours. Kittlety must also pay £620 costs and be subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order and sign the sex offender register.
