DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENDER DAVID JENNISON REFUSES DIVORCE FROM PRISON
A man named David Jennison was convicted of brutal domestic violence against his wife Suzanne Hill, whom he battered in a savage fight over Britain's Got Talent.Suzanne was left with severe injuries after being headbutted, choked, and beaten until she passed out by her violent husband.
She revealed he then tied her up with electrical flex, bundled her into a sleeping bag, and left her bleeding in her hallway for her son to discover.
Despite serving a prison sentence of three years and three months, Jennison refuses to divorce Suzanne from his cell, where he is detained for his crimes.
Suzanne recounted her ordeal: "He knows exactly what he is doing.
He referred to what he did to me as an ‘incident’ and he’s saying it doesn’t have to end in divorce.
I just want to get a divorce, get away from him and move on but I can’t." She has been trying to divorce him since January, but he is requesting a financial settlement and has been able to contact her through the courts despite a restraining order.
Jennison has 13 previous convictions for offenses including causing actual bodily harm, common assault, witness intimidation, and battery.
The couple met on Plenty of Fish in 2015 and married after a whirlwind romance, moving into Suzanne’s home in Eccles.
Jennison’s violent past was hidden until it was too late.
Suzanne underwent months of counseling for PTSD following the attack.
She now calls for more support for domestic violence victims seeking divorce, highlighting the control Jennison still holds over her, which she describes as him "laughing at me."
