August 2021 Chesterfield paedophile moved in with woman and young daughter A Chesterfield paedophile snared by paedo hunters moved in with a woman and her 22-month-old daughter – in breach of his sexual harm prevention order. David Halford-Lodge, 32, appeared before a judge today after it came to light he been living with the woman at the beginning of this year – saying he “deliberately” failed to inform police. Halford-Lodge did not declare the new living arrangements – a condition of his 10-year sexual harm prevention order – because “he enjoyed living as a family unit”. Prosecutor Steven Gosnell told Derby Magistrates Court pervert Halford-Lodge breached the order knowing police would not approve of the change of address In May this year Halford-Lodge was jailed for 26 months by Judge Shaun Smith QC. He was jailed for committing further sex offences while serving a suspended jail term after paedophile hunters live-streamed him trying to meet up with three underage teenage girls in October last year. Prior to meeting the decoys Halford-Lodge – believing them to be young girls – had encouraged them to touch themselves sexually – using overly sexual remarks. He also sent them images of his private parts The court heard that Halford-Lodge’s Chesterfield tenancy breach, with a woman and her young daughter, had occurred unbeknown to Judge Smith when he jailed the defendant in May this year. However the judge ruled that, had he known of the breach at the time, it would not have resulted in a longer jail term. Halford-Lodge, formerly of Clarendon Road, Chesterfield, admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order and failing to comply with notification requirements of the sex offenders register. He was handed six-month concurrent sentences for both charges. Judge Shaun Smith QC told him: “In May I sentenced you and made strong remarks about you breaching your suspended sentence and sexual harm prevention order. “I gave you 26 months – had I known these matters were to be brought before the court I could have sentenced you for all the matters together. “But I don’t believe I would have gone beyond the 26 months I gave you.” Judge Smith warned Halford-Lodge when he is released from custody on licence any further offences would result in him being returned to jail. May 2021 Paedophile hunters confront serial pervert on Facebook Live A paedophile who escaped an immediate jail sentence after messaging someone he thought was an underage girl has returned to court months later after committing similar offences. David Holford-Lodge had previously been caught by a group of self-styled paedophile hunters sending pictures of his private parts to people who he thought were underage girls. But they were actually decoys set up by the group, who then confronted the 31-year-old and broadcast it live over Facebook. Following this the Chesterfield man was convicted of a number of offences and given a suspended prison sentence at Derby Crown Court in October last year. However, he has now appeared in court again and this time there was no escaping an immediate custodial sentence when he admitted to committing more offences of a similar nature in the months since. At same court on Tuesday, May 18, he was sentenced after pleading guilty to four counts of attempting to cause a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity, as well as breaching his suspended sentence and sexual harm prevention order. Holford-Lodge, of Clarendon Road, Inkersall, Chesterfield, was jailed for 26 months. The incidents are similar in nature to those he pleaded guilty to in October last year. On that occasion he encouraged three decoy social media accounts to touch themselves sexually, used overly sexual remarks to them and sent them images of his private parts. He was then confronted by the self-styled paedophile hunter group who ran the accounts, who broadcast the meeting and his arrest live on Facebook. When he was hauled before Derby Crown Court over the incidents in October last year, he pleaded guilty to a number of offences. These included three counts of intentionally communicating with an underage girl for the purposes of sexual gratification, one count of attempting to cause or incite a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity and three counts of attempting to cause or incite a girl aged 15 to engage in sexual activity. On that occasion he was given an eight-month jail term, suspended for two years, ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work and attend 30 rehabilitation sessions. October 2020 Chesterfield paedophile snared by online paedo hunters A Derbyshire pervert had his confrontation with paedophile hunters live streamed over the internet. Derby Crown Court heard how David Holford-Lodge had sent a photograph of his private parts online to underage girls. But the three teenagers were really decoys set-up by the group “Original Team Hunters 25/8” who confronted the 31-year-old and filmed it live over Facebook. Holford-Lodge, of Clarendon Road, Inkersall, Chesterfield, pleaded guilty to three counts of intentionally communicating with an underage girl for the purposes of sexual gratification. He also admitted to one count of attempting to cause or incite a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity. And he pleaded guilty to three counts of attempting to cause or incite a girl aged 15 to engage in sexual activity. Judge Shaun Smith QC handed him an eight-month jail term, suspended for two years. He also ordered him to attend 30 rehabilitation sessions with the probation service and to carry out 150 hours unpaid work. And he handed Holford-Lodge a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and placed him on the sex offender register for 10 years.
