SCHOOL BUS DRIVER CONVICTED OF LONG-RUNNING CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
David Dunn, a school bus driver aged 40, committed prolonged sexual abuse against five children aged between nine and 14 over a period from 1992 to 1998.
He used a funnel to force children to swallow crushed temazepam tablets and Buckfast, a type of alcohol, to sedate them.
One girl was given so many drugs she was knocked unconscious and was unaware of what was happening; Dunn stripped her and sat on his naked body with her.
Dunn also invited children into his home to show them hardcore pornographic films while administering drugs for sex abuse.
He was convicted of sexually abusing two boys aged 10 and 13 and a girl aged 12 in Blairgowrie and Coupar Angus, and was found guilty of wilfully and recklessly drugging two other boys, aged nine and 14, until they lost consciousness.
Victims expressed relief that Dunn had been brought to justice, with one female victim calling for a maximum five-year sentence.
Dunn has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register and his sentence was deferred for reports.
He was dismissed from his job following the conviction.
