IRVINE WHEELCHAIR-BOUND PERVERT DAVID BENNIE SENTENCED FOR A DECADE OF CHILD ABUSE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Irvine, David Bennie, a 47-year-old man confined to a wheelchair, has been sentenced to four years in prison for a series of heinous sexual offenses spanning over ten years. Bennie, who was known to have gained the trust of multiple children, exploited that trust to carry out a pattern of depraved and predatory behavior.

Over the course of a decade, Bennie engaged in a series of sexual assaults against young victims, including two sisters who were initially just 12 years old when the abuse began. The assaults continued until the girls reached the age of 16, marking a prolonged period of trauma and exploitation. Bennie’s methods included inviting the children into his home in Irvine, where he would conduct what he called “naked nights,” during which he would strip down and encourage the children to do the same, creating an environment of intimidation and abuse.

In addition to abusing the two sisters, Bennie attempted to coerce a 16-year-old boy into having sex with another man, further demonstrating his predatory tendencies. The abuse was not limited to physical acts; Bennie also showed the children hardcore pornography at his residence, further corrupting and manipulating his victims.

The case came to a head when Bennie was brought before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week. He was convicted on multiple charges, including lewd and libidinous behavior and sexual assault. As part of his sentencing, Bennie was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.

Relatives of Bennie accompanied him into court, wheeling him in his wheelchair. However, one of the victims expressed skepticism about the proceedings, claiming that Bennie’s arrival was staged and that he had chased her upstairs and into the garden, stopping only when he feared being seen on his feet. This testimony added a layer of complexity and distress to an already grave case, highlighting the lasting impact of Bennie’s actions on his victims.
